Dream.
Dream of something wonderful, my dear. Sleep
in the silence and know who you are. Dream of
peace and green, green grass - of present fathers,
strong mothers, and sisters wiser than you.
Dream your memories of innocence, and not of
how it was stolen. Dream of simplicity and
songs that silence the birds, but bring no
tears. Bury the wars behind you, but no,
you will never forget. Remember the arms
that hold you, child, and remember to hold
on to them too. You will never forget. You
will never be the same. your world has changed,
and you with it. You cannot go back - but
you know that already. but your time is
over, your sacrifices made. There is little
left between you and the future. The past
will follow you; but you will survive. So
sleep and dream. Dream of something
wonderful.
