Ha ha - Did I say I'd color it, or did I say I'd color it? [link]

This was some much-needed practice and escapism for my Spring Break and ME3 depression. I finished this on my laptop, dodging lag... so it doesn't have my normal watermark on it - I'll fix that later. As with all my attempts at digital, this was done as a sketch first (link above), scanned into Photoshop Elements 5.0, and played with using my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet. I used a few textures (links below), and a Deus Ex screenshot for the cereal box. No idea how long it took me - too long, as always, because I'm slow and still very, very new at digital. :P

So, if you don't know by now, featured is Khiyda Zakar (sans wings, because I'm lazy), my Wulvryn persona. And as promised, the list of games/goodies included:
:bulletblue: Assassin's Creed: Altair's bracer/hidden blade, short blade, and Apple of Eden; Ezio's necklace
:bulletblue: Mass Effect: Shepard's dog tags, Viper sniper rifle, and Prothean Artifact
:bulletblue: Portal: companion cube and radio (tuned to the correct station, of course)
:bulletblue: Brink: logo in a snowglobe - for some reason, I thought this was funny
:bulletblue: Half Life: crobar, of course
:bulletblue: Star Wars: KotOR II: Nihilus' mask
:bulletblue: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Starkiller's sabre
:bulletblue: Dragon Age Origins: Alistair's Rose
:bulletblue: The Endless Forest: the oak leaf
:bulletblue: Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Augmentchoos and Nuke
:bulletblue: Extra goods: a Wulvryn-friendly version of my gaming headset, my iPod and headphones, a blank CD, and my gaming mouse
All those games/franchises and all the general swag thereof are to their respective owners. If you know the stuff... you know who owns it. ^.^

Wow, this is really cool.

The things I miss when I don't touch DA for over a year, eh?

I love this...the idea of doing a visual representation of all the games you play is intriguing, and it was well-executed.
Although I do wonder how Khiyda plans on using the short blade. I could see the hidden blade working, but without oppose-able thumbs, holding the knife seems problematic.

BTW, not the point, I know, I just thought it was humorous.
Thanks, mate! :) (Personally, I watch so many amazing artists that I can't stay away for more than a couple days without my notice box overloading! lol)
It was very fun to do! I might do another sometime in the future, with more little goodies from more games - since I've played a few more since this.
I can read humor. lol It is totally funny - and meant to be. xD (I can't imagine her trying to fire that Viper Rifle either.)

Yeah, I've gotten in the habit of explaining, as an aside, when I intended something to be dry/sarcastic funny in text-based messages if I don't think it would be otherwise obvious, because I have actually, believe it or not, seriously offended people once or twice without meaning to. It's annoying, I know, to be told "this is supposed to be read as if it's sarcastic" when you could already tell, but dry/serious humor can be hard to read in this medium, and I'd rather avoid accidental offense.

I don't do it in speech...usually.

Wow, long tangent. Anyway, yeah, I'm glad to be back, and it's kind of cool to have a backlog of notices of awesome art from the people I watch; it keeps me occupied if I run out of things to do on DA.

I'd like to do something like this with my own character/games of choice once I get my skills honed a bit more, it looks like it'd be quite fun. If I do, I'll link back here to let people know where I got the idea. Would you mind if I did an "inspired by" piece in response to yours?
lololol - you could try mock sarcasm hashtags or UBBC or HTML. I do that all the time - well, when I take the time to realize it might be hard to tell if I'm joking around. x) I often get misunderstood myself, so I understand.

I don't mind at all! I absolutely encourage any and all artistic endeavors, inspired or not. :) I hope you have fun with it!

Yeah, it'll be some time before I can make it, since I've got to get my skills up considerably, particularly in the figure drawing department. It may be a bit easier in a manga style, but it's still quite difficult, and I haven't practiced enough over the years.

I've been practicing a lot as of late, though. Seen any of my latest stuff?
Eventually is always better than never, with these things. ^.^
I have, yes - I'm just not qualified to make an intelligent/constructive comment. :P

Well you don't have to give me a critique or anything (unless you want to). Just your thoughts, if you have any, would be nice to hear.

Or you could wait until I have more polished and finished pieces to post. Might be awhile though.
Nice detail. Looks like it took a lot of work. Cool idea with the things in there that represent the different games.
Thanks very much, mate. :) I appreciate that!
this is so cooooooool!!!!~
